Celebrating the Life of Stephan “Steve” Patrick Mosher Obituary: A Man of Heart, Humor, and Adventure: Read More

It is with profound sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Stephan “Steve” “Stevo” Patrick Mosher, who left this world far too soon on August 1, 2025, at the age of 50.

Known for his generous heart, quick wit, and unwavering devotion to his loved ones, Steve was a remarkable man whose absence will be deeply felt by all who had the joy of knowing him.

Steve was the cherished husband of Jennifer Schaaf Mosher and the loving, dedicated father of William Odin (15) and Evelyn Geane (12). He was the rock of his family—steadfast, selfless, and ever-present. To Steve, nothing mattered more than the time spent with his wife and children.

Whether it was cheering William on from the sidelines, helping Evelyn chase her dreams, or enjoying quiet evenings and shared laughter with Jennifer, Steve lived to love and support his family. His home was filled with laughter, loyalty, and unconditional love.

Steve’s life was one rich with adventure and passion. A diehard Ohio State and college football fan, Saturdays in the fall were sacred. His enthusiasm was infectious, whether he was watching a game with friends or teaching his son about the sport.

Beyond football, Steve found peace and excitement in the outdoors—fishing, riding snowmobiles and dirt bikes, clay shooting with William, hog hunting, or discovering new destinations on family vacations. His adventurous spirit was matched only by the joy he took in sharing these moments with the people he loved most.

Steve had a rare and beautiful ability to make everyone feel welcome and important. His humor was genuine, his smile disarming, and his presence comforting. He was the kind of man who would drop everything to help a friend, the kind of neighbor who looked out for others, and the kind of father whose children will always say with pride, “That’s my dad.”

Steve’s legacy is not only in the things he did but in the way he lived—with integrity, kindness, and a love that knew no limits. His values live on in William and Evelyn, and the strength he showed every day continues to inspire his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Julie Mosherfather-in-law, William Schaaf, grandparents Mary & Sigmund Anderson and Francis & Helen Mosher, and his uncle, John Wagner. Though his departure leaves an unfillable void, he leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that will endure.

Steve is survived by his devoted wife Jennifer and their beloved children William and Evelyn; his father Tim Mosher (DeeDee); step-brother Dallas Johnson; step-sister Kayleigh Toomey (Mark); brother Jeff Mosher (Melanie); sister Dawn Mosher; half-brother Tim Mosher; cousins David Ryan and Justin Mosher; mother-in-law Phyllis Farrell (Pat); sister-in-law Bekah Hager (Josh); and his treasured nieces and nephews Riley, John, Grace, Beckham, Cohen, Sullivan, and Millie—along with many extended family members and lifelong friends.

Each of them holds cherished memories of Steve: his wisdom, his pranks, his quiet support, and his deep love. Though our hearts ache with his loss, we find comfort in knowing we were lucky enough to walk beside him, laugh with him, and be loved by him.

celebration of Steve’s life will be held at a later date. The family asks that friends and loved ones check back for updates as they plan a gathering worthy of his incredible life. Until then, we hold him in our hearts, always.
