On Saturday, Scott — a young father full of life and promise — was shot and killed at a Dollar Store on the northwest side after making a quick stop for diapers for his daughter.
According to his mother, Scott had just finished a joyful morning taking his baby girl to Smiley. He stopped by the store on his way home, planning to grab diapers and return to care for the child he deeply loved. But in a matter of minutes, everything changed.
A disturbance inside or near the store escalated, and Scott was tragically caught in the violence. Reports indicate that he was shot during or following the altercation. Paramedics arrived quickly, but the young father’s life could not be saved.
