Fatal Mishawaka shooting death of Wesley Dancler
Mishawaka authorities have confirmed the identity of the seventeen-year-old individual killed in Tuesday’s fatal shooting incident. Wesley Dancler sustained a serious gunshot wound at the Parkview Terrace Apartments located in the 500 block of 12th Street, Mishawaka, early on Tuesday morning. Following transport to a medical facility, he was pronounced deceased.
Further reports indicate the shooting occurred during a social gathering at an apartment complex situated close to the location. According to law enforcement, a witness involved in the incident has indicated that the discharge of the weapon was unintentional. A fifteen-year-old male, connected to the scene, has been questioned by police and subsequently transported to the Juvenile Justice Center. This young man is currently facing charges, including a preliminary accusation of Reckless Homicide.
