Taylor Steele and Howard Buckles, two individuals, died in a fatal Bureau County car crash.
The fatal car crash in Bureau County Thursday night resulted in the deaths of two people. Taylor Steele, who was 28 years old and from Hennepin, was pronounced dead at the scene. Howard Buckles, aged 62 and from Malden, died after being transported to the OSF HealthCare Saint Clare Medical Center in Princeton.
The collision occurred on E Street, specifically in the 2400 block area located just north of U.S. Highway 6. The Bureau County Coroner’s Office received a call and responded to the scene at 8:42 p.m.
Further examination into the causes of death includes pending autopsies and required toxicology tests. Both the Bureau County Coroner’s Office and the Bureau County Sheriff’s Office are continuing their investigation into the incident.
