Winnebago County authorities in Illinois reported a fatal collision occurring on Thursday, involving a motorcycle and an SUV. Deputies from the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched at 6 p.m. on August 7 to the intersection of 20th Street and Blackhawk Road because of the accident. According to reports, the Honda Shadow motorcycle and Mercedes vehicle collided.
Dana Wilson, who was identified as the motorcyclist and was a resident of Rockford, passed away at the scene. The Winnebago County Coroner’s Office has confirmed his death due to injuries sustained in the crash. A specialized team has been assigned to investigate the serious collision, and they indicated that their examination is still in progress.
