You Want Some of This”: Road Rage Gunfire Claims Innocent Young Mother

What should have been a quiet late-night drive turned into an unthinkable nightmare for 27-year-old Yarely Ashley Hermosillo, a young mother whose life was brutally cut short in Glendale, Arizona. Around 11:45 p.m. on Saturday, Yarely sat in the passenger seat of her boyfriend’s car, her 4-year-old son safely in the backseat, as they went to pick up her mother from work. At a red light on West Camelback Road and North 51st Avenue, a single gunshot shattered the calm night—piercing through the windshield and striking Yarely in the face. Despite her boyfriend racing to the nearest hospital, Yarely tragically did not survive.

An Innocent Life Caught in a Deadly Road Rage Showdown

According to police, the bullet was never meant for Yarely. Investigators revealed that 33-year-old Jesus Preciado Dousten had been in a heated road rage confrontation with another driver just moments before. The other motorist said Dousten recklessly pulled out in front of him, forcing him to slam on the brakes. After honking his horn and pulling up to a stoplight, the driver confronted Dousten, shouting at him to “watch where he was going.” Instead of brushing it off, Dousten allegedly brandished a gun, taunting in Spanish: “You want some of this?”

What happened next was senseless. In what detectives called a “random direction” shot, Dousten fired out of his driver’s side window. That single bullet struck Yarely’s car—completely unrelated to the altercation—and ended her life instantly. Witnesses reported that Dousten appeared intoxicated during the shooting. Shockingly, records show this was not his first violent road rage outburst. Just two months earlier, Dousten allegedly attacked another driver in an unrelated incident.

Justice for Yarely: A Family’s Devastating Loss

Now, an entire family is left in ruins. Yarely’s 4-year-old son will grow up without his mother. Her boyfriend, who desperately tried to save her, is haunted by a moment he could never have foreseen. Her mother, waiting for a ride home from work, instead received the news no parent should ever hear.

Police quickly tracked Dousten through street cameras and arrested him the following day. He has been charged with second-degree murder, aggravated assault, and additional charges, yet no punishment will ever restore the life stolen or ease the pain of those who loved Yarely.

Her story is a devastating reminder of how reckless anger on the road can destroy lives in seconds. A simple drive to pick up family ended in tragedy because one man chose violence over patience.
