A Shining Light Gone Too Soon
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Callie McKenzie Liggin, a beloved member of the Jones Petroleum Company family. Today, we mourn the loss of not just an incredible co-worker but a truly remarkable woman whose energy and compassion left an indelible mark on everyone she encountered. For nearly a decade, Callie was more than just a CPA in our office; she was a beacon of positivity, a source of encouragement, and a friend to all. Her infectious smile and unwavering optimism made her a rare treasure in our lives.
From the moment Callie joined us almost 10 years ago, it became clear she was a diamond in the rough. Her brilliance in her profession was matched only by her humility and deep understanding of people. She was grounded, wise beyond her years, and earned respect effortlessly. But beyond her professional achievements, it was her character – her kindness, generosity, and faith – that truly set her apart.
An Inspiring Battle of Faith and Strength
Callie’s journey was marked by extraordinary courage. Diagnosed with cancer, she fought a long and painful battle with grace and unwavering faith. Not once did she allow her circumstances to shake her positivity or diminish her hope. Her strength during the toughest of times became an inspiration to everyone around her. While cancer may have taken her body, it never defeated her spirit.
Her faith in God remained unshakable. Through every trial, every treatment, every moment of uncertainty, she leaned on her Savior and continued to uplift those around her. Even in her most difficult days, Callie never complained. Instead, she chose gratitude, love, and resilience – qualities that will forever define her legacy.
A Legacy of Love and Light
Callie leaves behind a loving husband, Miles, and two precious children who were the center of her world. She also leaves behind countless friends, co-workers, and family members whose lives she touched with her grace and kindness. Her time on Earth may have been short, but the impact she made is immeasurable.
Today, as we grieve this heartbreaking loss, we also celebrate the life of an extraordinary woman who taught us what it means to live with faith, love deeply, and face life’s challenges with courage. Callie was truly one of a kind, and her absence will be felt deeply by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
