A Sudden Loss That Leaves Hearts Broken
On August 22nd, 2025, our world was forever changed when we lost Derek Price so unexpectedly. There are no words to fully capture the heartbreak and shock of this moment. Derek wasn’t just a family member or a friend—he was a source of joy, laughter, and unwavering kindness to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His passing has left a void that can never be filled, and the pain of his absence is felt deeply by his loved ones and friends alike.
Derek had a way of making people feel seen and valued. His genuine smile and warm spirit lit up every room he entered, and his friendship knew no limits. To say that he will be missed doesn’t come close to describing the emptiness left behind.
Remembering a Life Filled with Love and Friendship
Derek was loved by many and truly a friend to all. He was the kind of person who went out of his way to help others, to share a laugh, and to make life just a little brighter for those around him. His family meant everything to him, and the bonds he created with those close to him were built on love, trust, and compassion.
Though his time with us was far too short, Derek’s impact will be remembered for a lifetime. The countless memories, the shared moments of joy, and the lessons learned from his kind heart will live on in all of us.
Honoring Derek’s Memory Together
To celebrate Derek’s incredible life, a Celebration of Life will be held on September 6th at the Georgetown Church Pavilion (in the back) at 11:00 a.m., followed by a luncheon inside the church at 1:00 p.m. We invite all who loved and cherished Derek to join us in honoring his memory, sharing stories, and finding comfort in one another.
While nothing can erase the pain of losing him, we can keep his spirit alive by continuing to spread the love and kindness that he so freely gave. Please keep Derek’s family in your thoughts and prayers during this unimaginably difficult time.
