Nick Evans, age 29, of Cookeville, Tennessee, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 6, 2025. His passing has left a deep void in the hearts of all who knew and loved him, but his memory will continue to shine brightly through the stories, laughter, and love he shared during his time here.

Born in 1996, Nick grew up in the heart of the Upper Cumberland, where his quick wit, easy smile, and kind heart made him a friend to many. From a young age, he had a gift for making people feel comfortable and valued. Whether you met him for the first time or had known him for years, Nick had a way of leaving you with a smile.

Nick’s life was filled with a love for family, friends, and community. He was the kind of person who never hesitated to lend a helping hand, offer words of encouragement, or simply sit and listen when someone needed to talk. His genuine compassion extended to everyone he met, and his friends knew they could always count on him for support and understanding.

 

He had a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life—spending a Saturday afternoon grilling out with friends, cheering on his favorite sports teams, or exploring the backroads of Tennessee with music playing and the windows down. A visitation for friends and family will be held on Sunday, August 10, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home. This will be a time for loved ones to come together, share stories, and honor the life of a remarkable young man.

A graveside service will follow on Monday, August 11, at 11:00 AM at Highland Cemetery in Sparta, Tennessee. Friends and family are invited to attend as Nick is laid to rest in a place surrounded by the hills and fields he loved so dearly.
