Fatal Brookhaven car crash death of Dustin Allen Davis
The Brookhaven Police Department has confirmed the identity of the person killed in the hit-and-run incident that occurred within their jurisdiction. The victim is identified as 55-year-old Dustin Allen Davis from Atlanta.
A nineteen-year-old resident of Atlanta, Kendall Brayden Hudson, has been arrested and faces several charges connected to the accident. The collision happened at the intersection of Peachtree Road and Dresden Drive.
Emergency responders located Davis on the southbound side of Peachtree Road near Brookhaven City Centre at approximately 1:46 a.m. on Sunday, August 3rd. He passed away as a result of his injuries. Hudson is believed to have been the driver of the vehicle involved and then drove away from the scene.
BPD utilized Flock cameras to trace the vehicle’s path and identify Hudson. He was subsequently transported to a DeKalb County jail facility. Official records indicate charges against Hudson include vehicular homicide, hit-and-run causing death, driving under hazardous conditions, driving under the influence, and impeding police operations.
