The Friend We’ll Remember: More Than a Crash Statistic”
Jack was more than a news story. Born May 17, 2006, in Rochester, he was loved deeply by family and friends. He had a passion for fishing, four-wheeling, dirt biking—and above all, motorcycles. He’d recently begun a job as a mechanic at Garber Subaru, where he poured his heart into the work. His kindness and intelligence lit up every room. At a mere 19 years old, Jack already had dreams and plans for the future. His loss is a glaring reminder of youth’s fragility, and of how quickly lives can be shattered.
“Grief and Gathering: Honoring Jack’s Spirit”
The shock of losing someone so young reverberated through Webster and beyond. Calling hours took place at Falvo Funeral Home on August 29, followed by a Celebration of Life on August 30 at White Haven Memorial Park’s All Seasons Chapel. The family has asked mourners to honor Jack’s spirit with something close to his heart: hoodies—no suits or ties—so that the celebration can feel just a bit like him. In lieu of flowers, the family requested donations to the Verona Animal Shelter, a cause that surely echoed Jack’s big heart.
